Scorpia EVO range

Fins

Long blade spearfishing fins. Sized and stocked for Thai feet.

The engineering case

Fins that outlast the reef.

Fins fail in two places: the foot pocket splits from the blade, or the blade cracks at the foot pocket interface. Rob Allen engineers against both.

Scorpia EVO — 6 years of abuse, still functional

Rob showed a pair of Scorpia EVO fins returned after six years of reef abuse. Visibly beaten up. Still working, still flexing appropriately, nothing separated. One-piece moulded construction — blade and foot pocket cannot come apart because they are not joined, they are one piece.

Welded carbon interface — no snap line

Most carbon fins fail at the two screws where the blade meets the foot pocket. Rob Allen's carbon line uses a welded interface — no screws, no stress concentration point. The common carbon-fin snap line simply is not there.

Stiffness matched to diver weight

Carbon blades come in three stiffness grades: S3 (50-70 kg divers), S4 (60-80 kg), S5 (70-90 kg). Matching blade stiffness to diver mass gives the right kick response without wasted energy. Most brands sell one stiffness.

Foot pockets run wide — size down

Rob himself says the Scorpia foot pocket runs wider than industry norm. If you are between sizes, size down. Particularly relevant for Asian foot shapes — I size most Thai customers down one from what the EU chart would suggest.

Before you buy

Fins — common questions

What size fits Thai feet? +

Scorpia EVOs run true to size in Euro sizing. With 3mm socks add a half size. We stock 39-46 in quantity.

Can I change the blades later? +

Yes — the foot pockets accept standard plastic and fibreglass blades. Upgrade when you are ready, no need to buy full fins again.
