Speargun maintenance. Done right.
A well-maintained Rob Allen will outlast the diver using it. Bands, line, shafts — these are consumables, not warranty items. They need swapping every season or two depending on how hard you dive. I service all Rob Allen spearguns in Thailand, regardless of where you bought them.
What we service
Every part of the gun, every season.
Rubber replacement
Fresh latex bands cut to gun length + target power. Standard 16 mm / 17.5 mm / 19 mm in stock. Wishbones swapped if worn.
Turnaround: Same day if dropped off on Koh Samui. 4-5 days nationwide with shipping both ways.
Shooting line replacement
Fresh Dyneema/UHMPE line, correct diameter for your gun, rigged with a proper terminal knot and wishbone attachment.
Turnaround: Same day / 4-5 days nationwide.
Shaft inspection + swap
Plated spring-steel shafts inspected for bends, thread damage, tab wear. Replacement fitted and tuned if needed.
Turnaround: Same day / 4-5 days nationwide.
Trigger mechanism service
Strip, inspect, clean, re-lube. Worn components replaced under warranty where applicable.
Turnaround: 2-3 days on-island. 7-10 days nationwide.
Muzzle inspection
Full muzzle check for cracks, line release wear, bungee integrity. Replacement fitted if needed.
Turnaround: 2-3 days on-island.
Full annual service
Everything above in one pass. Recommended once per season for guns that see heavy use.
Turnaround: 3-5 days on-island. 10-14 days nationwide.
How it works
Two ways to send it in.
On Koh Samui
- WhatsApp me with your gun model + what it needs.
- Drop off in Lamai (I'll share the pin).
- Pick up when it's done — usually same day or next day for simple jobs.
Nationwide (ship-to-us)
- WhatsApp me with model + issue. I quote turnaround + parts.
- You ship the gun via Thailand Post / Kerry / Flash.
- I service and ship back free via Thailand Post (2-3 business days nationwide).
Pricing
Labour is free on Rob Allen guns.
You pay for parts only. Rubbers, line, shafts, trigger components — at the same prices you'd pay buying them from the shop. No hourly rate. No "consultation fee". If I'm the one who can keep the gun shooting, I'd rather you keep diving than haggle over labour.
Non-Rob-Allen guns: I'll still service them where I can (most Thai-market brands are serviceable), but parts compatibility varies. Message on WhatsApp with the make + model first.
